WHO WE ARE
WHAT IS A BEREAN?
|
- We are a local body of believers led by our own elder & deacon board.
- We are not a denomination but part of a fellowship of like-minded churches. Chadron Berean Church is affiliated with the non-denominational Berean Fellowship of Churches, whose mission is, "Planting and strengthening churches to make disciples to reach the world."
- If you have any questions, we encourage you to contact our office. Our pastor or a board member will connect with you.
We welcome you to join us.
We believe the local church is the primary means through which discipleship occurs in a Christian's life. You are welcome to come and grow with us as disciples of Jesus Christ as we study His Word together. As His disciples, we have a passion for bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to people locally, regionally and around the world. |
Our main entrance is on the north side (4th Street) but we also have an accessibility ramp at the south entrance.
We believe and teach the clear gospel message. The gospel means good news. The good news is that Jesus Christ, who is God, became a man to redeem man from sin. This was accomplished through His righteous life, sacrificial death, and resurrection. As the God-Man, He alone is our mediator between God and man. We believe that salvation is a gift from God and is received by personal faith (trust) in Jesus as the only sacrifice for sin. Man is justified (declared righteous) by grace through faith in Christ (apart from works) and that all true believers are kept secure in Christ forever. |

About our Pastor:Pastor Justin Schefcik and his wife Courtney are both from Alliance, NE. Courtney was raised in the Alliance Berean Church, trusting Jesus as her Savior, and Justin was saved later on through the workings of that same church. They are excited to be serving Christ in Chadron. Justin enjoys expository preaching and teaching but occasionally preaches on a relevant biblical topic. He is a graduate of Frontier School of the Bible, has spent time serving in Latin America, and is currently pursing a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies with a concentration in biblical archaeology from Shepherds Theological Seminary. |
